William Russell Sherrick

William (Bill) Russell Sherrick, Sr., 87, of Carson, passed away Monday, August 2, 2021. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, George and Martha Poole; parents, Russell and Anne Sherrick, and siblings, Mae Cardosa, Helen Pedrick, and Howard J. Sherrick.

Mr. Sherrick retired from Allied Chemical/Honeywell in 1989 and was a member of Oakland Baptist Church. He enjoyed camping at Ocean Lakes and retiring to Florida for the winter.

Bill is survived by his wife, Wilda Sherrick; son Russell Sherrick; granddaughter, Roxanne Sherrick; siblings, Hazel Gaskill (Bill), Reverend Earl L. Sherrick (Betty), Ann Hathaway (Bill), Mary Jane O’Donnell, and Maggie Detrick (Bill); sister-in-law, Joyce Sherrick; and brother-in-law, Channing Williams.

The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday, August 5 at Oakland Baptist Church, 12601 Prince George Dr, Disputanta, Virginia where the funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, August 6. Interment will follow at Southlawn Cemetery.
