Vernon James "Jimmy" Whitehead, Jr.

Mr. Vernon James ‘Jimmy” Whitehead, Jr., 81, passed away Tuesday, March 16, 2021.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Virginia Grizzard and a brother, Charles Whitehead.

He is survived by two daughters, Tammy Jarratt (Bill) and Lori Poole (William); son, Doug Whitehead; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, March 20 at Owen Funeral Home, 303 S. Halifax Rd, Jarratt, Virginia where the family will receive friends for a half hour prior to the service.
