Sherri Parker Thompson

Sherri Parker Thompson, 59, of Freeman, Virginia, died suddenly Thursday, June 15, 2023. She was preceded in death by her parents, Garland Parker and Mary Harrison Parker Nye; brother; Rusty Parker; and her husband, Jeff Thompson.

Left to cherish her memory are her longtime life partner, Bill Dutton;

her sister, Sandi York (Pate) and all her fur children, Miles, Essie, Matilda, Anna, Myrtle and Stormy.

Sherri was a pure spirit and was always willing to help anyone in need. She was a lover of all animals, and the world is a lesser place without her in it.

A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, June 22 at the Harrison Family Cemetery on Grassy Pond in Emporia, Virginia.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the SPCA or Centenary United Methodist Church, P. O. Box 472, Jarratt, Virginia 23867.
