Ronald "Ronnie" L. Richardson

Ronald L. “Ronnie” Richardson, 76, passed away Wednesday, November 13, 2024. He was the son of the late Clifford W. Richardson, Sr. and Vera Hale Richardson and was also preceded in death by a sister, Carolyn R. Slagle.

A U.S. Army veteran, who served in Vietnam, he was also a classic car enthusiast and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Ronnie is survived by his wife, Mary Kathryn “Kitty” Richardson; daughter, Tammy Dettman; son, Christopher Richardson; step-daughter, Cathy Eberly (Mike); stepson, Alan Foltz; grandchildren, Madison Mula and Jackson Dettman; step-grandchildren, Katelyn Nader (Alex) and Chelsea Eberly (Derrick Rollins); four great-grandsons, Jayden Rollins, Zachary Nader, Cameron Rollins and Theo Nader; brother, Clifford W. Richardson, Jr. (Gail); sister, Joyce D. Green (John) and a number of nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Monday, November 18 at Owen Funeral Home 303 S. Halifax Rd, Jarratt, Virginia 23867 where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at High Hills Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Fisher House Foundation (fisherhouse.org) which assists veteran and military families with housing when they have loved ones in veteran hospitals.
