Robert B. Young

Robert B. Young, 72, lifelong resident of Sussex County and a longtime farmer, passed away Monday, August 26, 2024. He was the son of the late Yancey and Helen Young and was also preceded in death by his brothers, Harold Young and Danny Young.

Robert is survived by his wife of 49 years, Betty Young; sons, Brian Young (Bonnie) and Kenneth Young; daughter, Stephanie Newby (Arkime); six grandchildren, Micah, Jonathan, Kaylin, Thomas, Nyla and Andre and adopted grandchildren, Isaiah H., Isaiah F. and Kristiana.

A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, September 7, 2024 at Antioch Baptist Church, 20230 Peter’s Bridge Rd, Yale, VA 23897.

The family will receive friends at Mr. Young’s home in the days prior to the service.
