He is preceded in death by his parents, Stanton Hyde Ferguson, Sr. and Jewell Lockamon Ferguson, of Emporia,  a brother, Terry Garland Ferguson, Sr., of Mechanicsville and his father-in-law, James Moseley, Jr, of Lawrenceville.
Left to treasure his memory are his loving wife of almost 32 years, Kari Moseley Ferguson, his devoted son Zachary Alexander Ferguson (Darian and Scarlet), a brother Robert James Ferguson (Bette), and sister Angela Pier Ferguson. Left also are mother-in-law, Jean B. Moseley; brothers-in-law Ken Moseley (Theresa), Keefe Moseley (Martha), and Kyle Moseley (Jessica), numerous nieces and nephews, his loyal four legged children Baby, Coco, and Ace, and “The Tribe”, who were family to him.
Reggie was a 1982 graduate of Brunswick Academy and attended VCU and Richard Bland College. In the late 80’s, he returned to Emporia to help his father run Ferguson Peanut Warehouse. He was also a member of the Brink Ruritan Club during that time.
Reggie was an entrepreneur, having started and run several successful businesses over the years along with partners, the last of which was Ferguson Equipment. These business ventures formed life long friendships as well. He guided others who had the desire to venture out on their own. In later years, he worked as a Safety Resource Officer for various companies.
In his free time, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, fishing, and reading. He received great joy watching his dogs chase birds, squirrels, and deer across the farm.
Reggie will forever be missed by his family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, May 11th at Pleasant Hill Christian Church in Gasburg, VA. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. A meal will be provided immediately following the service in the Family Life Center.
