Peggy Ogburn Pair

Peggy Ogburn Pair, 88, of Emporia passed away Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at Glenburnie Rehabilitation facility in Richmond. She was born April 18, 1936, the daughter of Wilsie and Mary Ogburn into a large loving family. A farm family, working hard, where Peggy got her strong work ethic and developed her competitive character. For those of us that were fortunate to know and love her, we will always remember her independence, strong character, humor and never-ending energy.

Peggy was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley and two sons, Glen and David Pair. She was also preceded in death by all of her brothers and sisters. She is survived by cousins, nieces and nephews who knew Peggy and loved her very much and will mourn the loss of her smiling face and loving embrace.

A memorial service will be held 7 p.m. Thursday, August 22 at Main Street Baptist Church officiated by The Reverend Dr. Ricky Hurst.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital (wwwstjude.org).
