Patricia W. Grizzard

Patricia W. Grizzard, 81, of Capron, passed away Monday, March 19, 2018 after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s disease. She was the daughter of the late Maynard and Lucy Vaughan Worrell and was a very active member of Antioch Baptist Church where she served in numerous capacities. Mrs. Grizzard is survived by her husband of 61 years, Eugene M. Grizzard; two sons, Maynard Grizzard and wife, Angela and Michael Grizzard and wife, Debbie; two daughters, Terry Barber and husband, Buddy and Carla Marshall and husband, Dennis; twelve grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and a brother, Allen R. Worrell. The funeral service will be held graveside 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 21 at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall.Mrs. Grizzard’s family extends their heartfelt thanks to the nurses and staff at East Pavilion for the loving care and concern shown to Mrs. Grizzard during her time there. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, P.O. Box 11, Yale, Virginia 23897.
