Nellie W. Wray

Nellie W. Wray, 87, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 1, 2021. She was the daughter of the late David and Vashti Walker and was also preceded in death by her husband, Joseph P. Wray.

Nellie is survived by her beloved family, daughter, Rebeca W. Mullins; son, Joseph L. Wray (Terri); four beloved grandchildren, Donna Thomas, Joseph Thomas, Jeremy Wray (Natalie) and Justin Wray (Michelle); ten great-grandchildren; brother, Melvin Walker (Mildred) sister, Louise Owens and numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Greensville Health and Rehab and also Hospice of Virginia for taking such good care of our Mom. She was a very sweet and caring lady and loved being around her family.

The funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, December 5 at Owen Funeral Home, 303 S. Halifax Rd, Jarratt, Virginia where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Concord United Methodist Church Cemetery.
