Mary Florence "Polly" Grizzard Proctor

Mary Florence Grizzard Proctor, 80, known to everyone as Polly, went to be with the Lord on Thursday February 8. Polly was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. She was predeceased by her parents Edgar M. Grizzard and Ruth Conn Grizzard as well as five brothers, Earl Grizzard, Frank Grizzard, Elmer Grizzard, Pete Grizzard, and Benjamin “Bubba” Grizzard, and a sister, Ethel “Sis” Grizzard Vick, her daughter-in-law Tanya Woodruff Mise, granddaughter Lauren Mckenzie Mise, nephew Rodney Harris, niece Penny Grizzard, and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Mary Ann Mise, son John Mise, grandsons Lucius Conde, Lunden Conde, and Jonathan Mise, and her granddaughter Samantha Mise. She is also survived by her sisters Willie G. Harris, Barbara G. Barlow, Alease G. Braswell, and Diane G. Smith as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She is also survived by her loving and loyal dog Precious. All of these loved ones rallied around her in her final weeks and it was easy to see how much she was loved.

The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, February 13, at Calvary Baptist Church where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Greensville Memorial Cemetery.
