Lawrence "Larry" Shaw

Lawrence (Larry) Earl Shaw, born April 4, 1971, completed his earthy life and went on to the next August 1, 2018. Larry is survived by his wife Valerie P. Shaw, his children Christopher Ty, Chance, Alex, Patrick, and Grace, and grandchildren Jayce and Evelyn. He is additionally survived by his mother Joyce B. Shaw, brother Ronald A. Shaw, sister Dawn Shaw-Castellani, and dear friend Rob Sirtori. He was preceded in death by his father Ronald E. Shaw.
Larry was a devoted husband, father, and friend. He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy and most recently owner and operator of Lazy S Hauling. Larry was known for his passion in helping others, his love for his four-legged friends, and his enthusiasm for anything related to the Oklahoma Sooners. Due to Larry’s generous heart and love of laughter, there was always an open house full of family and friends with a joyous atmosphere.
Funeral services will be held Monday, August 6, 2018 at 3:00pm, First Baptist Church, Hopewell, VA. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Disabled American Veterans at www.dav.org.
