Katherine Watkins, 71, of Richmond, passed away Tuesday, October 4, 2022.

She is survived by her husband, Holland T. Watkins, III; brother, Robert Kingan, (Menda); brother-in-law, John C. Watkins, (Penny); niece, Holland Watkins; nephew, Andrew Watkins and special friend she lovingly referred to as “her little sister”, Karen Heede.

Katherine was a loving and devoted wife. She was a graduate of The College of William & Mary and spent her career of over 45 years with the State of Virginia, retiring in 2021 as Senior Chemist with VDOT for the last 14 years.

A graveside funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, October 8 at Emporia Cemetery, Brunswick Avenue, Emporia, Virginia.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Westhampton United Methodist Church, 6100 Patterson Ave, Richmond, VA 23226.
