James Allen Peden, Sr.

Mr. James Allen Peden, Sr., 51, of Boykins, passed away on Wednesday, October 17, 2018. He was preceded in death by his son, James Allen Peden, Jr. and his parents, Archer and Annie Peden.
Mr. Peden is survived by his wife, Sandy Peden; two sons, Jeffrey Peden and Jacob Peden; brother, John Peden (Julie); sister, Amelia Covington; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Gomer and Betty Cooke; two brothers-in-law, W. J. Porch (Amy) and James Thomas Cooke (Mandy) and their children, Kylie and Kiptyn Cooke; a special niece, Cortney Peden who assisted as his caregiver and several other nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews and a number of aunts, uncles and cousins.
The family will receive friends at the family home.
The funeral service will be held graveside 2 p.m. Sunday, October 21 at Beechwood Cemetery, Boykins, Virginia.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Boykins Fire and Rescue, P.O. Box 347, Boykins, Virginia 23827.
