Hunter Joyner Cowling

Hunter J. Cowling, 90, of Stony Creek, widow of Vernard Cowling, passed away Monday, December 9, 2019. She is survived by three daughters, Patricia Layne, Betty Wells (William) and Sandra Jones (Lucky Jones); five grandchildren, Melanie Layne, Denise Wilkes, Brad Wells, Brandon Shinault and Ryan Page; seven great-grandchildren, Jade Smith, Morgan Thomas, Jeremy Begor, Kohle Wells, Daniel Wells, Aleigha Shinault and Austyn Page; a great-great-grandson, Jax Smith; sister, Rachel Rhodes and a number of nieces and nephews.
A graveside funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 11 at Waverly Cemetery.
