Howard Richard Allen, Jr., 83, of Emporia, passed away Friday, February 3, 2023.

He is survived by his very devoted sister, Gertrude A. Allen; nieces,  Brenda A. Gay (Bubba), Jeanette A. Wrenn (Dwight) and Stacy A. Holloway (Skeeter); great-nieces, Choe Huskey (John), Sara Gay (Travis) and Kaitlin Holloway (Kevin); great-nephew, Dustin  Wrenn (Ashley); great-great-nephew, Gage Daniels and great-great nieces Emersyn Wrenn and Harper Walker.

The family wishes to express their appreciation to the staff at Greensville Health and Rehab for the dedicated care and devotion shown to “Junior” over the many years he spent there as a resident

The funeral service will be held graveside 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 8 at Delbridge Family Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Greensville Volunteer Rescue Squad.
