H. Melvin Harrell

H. Melvin Harrell, 79, of Jarratt, passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2024. He was the son of Herman and Evelyn Smith Harrell and he was also preceded in death by a grandson, Cody Lewis Stallard.

Melvin is survived by his wife, Kathy P. Harrell; daughter, Tracey H. Stallard (Kenneth); son, Todd Harrell (Amy) and stepdaughter, Melissa Moore; grandchildren, Kelly S. Savage (Brandon), Brandon Harrell, Carson Harrell and Ethan Harrell; step-granddaughters, Kristin Mattox (Jordan) and Cassie Robertson; and step-great-granddaughter, Kinley Mattox; sister-in-law, Jean Tucker (Dennis) and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, June 30 at Owen Funeral Home, 303 S. Halifax Rd., Jarratt, Virginia where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Harrell Family Cemetery.
