Glenn Hamlin Owen

Glenn Hamlin Owen, aged 86 of Montgomery, Alabama, passed away suddenly on Friday September 25, 2020. Glenn was born in Jarratt, Virginia to Guy and Bessie Owen in 1934. He served twenty years in the United States Air Force and continued his career as a civil servant until he retired in 2001. He never lost his love for vintage cars and NASCAR racing. He is survived by his wife Joyce, his daughter Vicki Britt (Wade Britt), his beloved granddaughters Amelia, Claire, and Kate Britt, his sisters Rita Tillery and Vivian Dunn, as well as his brothers Ben Owen (Judy Owen) and Tommy Owen. A graveside service will be held in Jarratt, Virginia 11 a.m. on October 1 at the Owen Family Cemetery. Glenn’s granddaughter Amelia Britt, a student at Wake Forest Divinity School, will conduct the service.  Because of COVID-19, please wear a mask and respect social distancing protocols.
