Gene Corbet Lemocks

Gene Corbet Lemocks, 86, of Stony Creek, VA went to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 23rd at his home. He was the son of the late Earl and Sadie Lemocks, he was preceded in death by 1 brother and 2 sisters. Gene is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Nina M. Lemocks, a devoted son, Richard M. Lemocks, a loving grandson, D. Mason Lemocks, and faithful niece, Amy Thomas.

Gene retired in 1998 from Reynolds Metal after 41 years of dedicated service. A gifted craftsman who handmade many pieces of furniture for family that will always be cherished. Gene was a staple in the community for helping with small repairs, handyman projects, or whenever his neighbors needed him. He will always be remembered in his happy place, at home with his family, in his recliner, cheering on the Dallas Cowboys and other sports teams. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing at Emporia Country Club.

A graveside Memorial Service will be held at 11am on Wednesday September 27th at Southlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your preferred charity in his honor.
