Frederick J. Helfrich, Iii

Fred Helfrich, 87, of Emporia, passed away Saturday, October 28, 2023. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nettie Sue Helfrich. He was the owner of Fred’s Auto Parts and Main St. Motors in Emporia and has been a member of the community for over 40 years.

Fred is survived by a son, David Helfrich (Theresa); three daughters, Mary Jane Yeattes (Mark), Sue “Pickles” Green (Troy) and Brenda Cullom (Phillip); numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three sisters, Harriette Burks, Brenda Worley (Wayne) and Delores Taylor (Dave) and a number of nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held 3 p.m. Sunday, November 12 at Grace Community Fellowship Church.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Grace Community Fellowship Church, 8014 Little Lowground Rd, Emporia, Virginia 23847.
