Craig Allen Ricks, 54, of Finksburg, passed away Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at the Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis, MD.
Born May 20, 1967 in Portsmouth, VA, he was the son of Cecil Allen and Natalie (Rocha) Ricks of Bracey, VA. He was the husband of Sandra Gail Ricks, his wife of eight years.
Craig had worked in law enforcement for the Portsmouth Sheriff's Department before establishing Rick's Tree Removal in Finksburg in 1995. He attended Friendship Baptist Church. He enjoyed baseball, hunting, fishing, and all outdoor activities.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are his daughter and son-in-law, Tierney and Michael Dailey of Bracey, VA; sons, Craig Ricks, Jr. of DE, Spenser Ricks of Aberdeen, MD, Preston Ricks of CA, and Jackson Ricks of Sykesville, MD; stepson, Bradley Nicholson and his wife Larissa of Sykesville, MD; stepdaughter, Angel Crispino and her husband Nick of Centreville, MD; brothers, Chad Allen Ricks and his wife Kelly of Aylett, VA and Carey Allen Ricks and his wife Leslie of Bracey, VA; and 9 grandchildren.
The family received friends Wednesday, January 19, 2022, from 3:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Eline Funeral Home, 2901 Bloom Road, Finksburg, MD. The funeral will be held 2 p.m. Friday, January 21, 2022 at Owen Funeral Home, 303 South Halifax Road, Jarratt, VA where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Ricks Family Cemetery, Drewryville, Virginia.
