Carroll D. "C.D." Stainback

Mr. Carroll D. “C.D.” Stainback, 73, of Colonial Heights, passed away Friday, November 26. He was the son of the late Willie B. and Florence Mae Winfield Stainback and was also preceded in death by his son, Jonathan W. Stainback and 10 brothers and sisters.

C.D. is survived by his daughter, Angel S. Avery and husband, Chris; two grandchildren, Casey Avery and Abbey Avery and stepdaughter, Christy Camp and husband Chuck and their children, Aubrie, Madelyne and Peighton; three sisters, Goldie Cox, Florence Scott and Marie Schnitz; three brothers, Francis Stainback, Albert Stainback and Rufus Stainback and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday, December 2 at Owen Funeral Home, 303 S. Halifax Rd, Jarratt, Virginia.

The funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, December 3 at Winfield Family Cemetery.
