Jesse Richard "Dick" Jarratt

Jesse Richard “Dick” Jarratt, 75, of Sussex, passed away Thursday, February 2, 2017. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Amy Jarratt Chappell. Dick is survived by his wife, Betsy Joyner Jarratt; sister, Rebecca J. “Peaches” Allen and husband, Benton; niece, Betty Jo Waddell and husband, Buck; two great-nieces, Harley Jo Waddell and Kerry Burrows and husband, Denny and son-in-law, David Chappell. The funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, February 5 at Readville Baptist Church with interment to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends in the church social hall after the funeral.
