Donald Albert Decker

Donald Albert Decker, 68, passed away Friday, December 16, 2016. He is survived by his wife, Donna Inge Decker; daughter, Courtney Decker Hornback and husband, Hunter; two sons, Christopher Donald Decker and wife, Wendy and Michael Robert Decker and wife, Melissa; five grandchildren, Jackson, Caroline, Sloan, Sadie and Stella; sister, Elaine Decker Kaiser and husband, Chuck; brother, Robert Decker and wife, Margie and a number of nieces and nephews. A long time resident of Capron, Va, Don recently relocated to Raleigh, NC to be closer to his grandchildren.  A US Navy veteran and retired farmer, Don was an avid hunter, fisherman, golfer, and enjoyed cooking for his friends and family. The funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Monday, December 19 at Thomas Memorial Baptist Church in Drewryville, Virginia. Interment will follow in Drewryville Cemetery. The family will receive friends after the service in the church fellowship hall. Memorial contributions may be made to Drewryville Volunteer Fire Department or Capron Volunteer Fire and Rescue.
