Ernest Harrell "Buck" Beatty

Ernest H. “Buck” Beatty, 73, of Emporia, passed away Thursday, October 6, 2016. He is survived by two daughters, Ginger Beatty and Joan B. Kerr; four grandchildren, Justin Kerr, Meghan Kerr Jenkins, Cameron Chase Beatty and Colten Taylor; three sisters, Emma Ruth Brewer, Joyce Tomlin and Lois Mizell and special friend, Vernelle Vick. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, October 8 at Owen Funeral Home, 303 S. Halifax Rd, Jarratt, Virginia where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Emporia Cemetery.
