Carl B. Creed

Carl B. Creed, 60, of Yale, passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2016. He is survived by his wife, Susan B. Creed; daughter, Shannon Wise and husband, Tony; two sons, Brian Poarch and Jeremy Poarch and wife, Heather; six grandchildren, Jessica, Makayla and Anissa Wise, Brian Andrew Poarch, Austin Poarch and Addison Poarch; two step-grandchildren, Shelbi Wise and Gavrielle Wise; great-grandchildren, Braxton and Olivia; a brother, Robert Creed and niece, Colleen Creed, both of Golden, CO; a devoted aunt, Betsy Nicholson and numerous extended family members. Carl was a US Navy veteran with seventeen years service. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug 3 at Owen Funeral Home, 303 S. Halifax Rd, Jarratt, Virginia. The funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug 4 at Sharon United Methodist Church with interment to follow at Bobbitt Family Cemetery.
