James Louis Banty

James Banty, of Stony Creek, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at the age of 85. He was born May 11, 1930 to the late William H. Banty, Sr. and Ada Revelle Banty. He was employed by Continental Can until his retirement. Mr. Banty is survived by his wife, Vivian; son, James L. Banty, Jr.; two step-children who felt they belonged to him as their father died very young: step-daughter, Joyce B. Poole and stepson, Steven W. Banty; grandchildren, Charles W. Poole, Jr., Sandra Jarratt, Rachel Daughtry, John Banty and Daniel Banty; great-grandchildren, Kara Beth and Kamryn Poole; Ryan, Tyler and Kyle Jarratt and Naomi and Levi Daughtry; brother, William Henry Banty, Jr and sister, Elizabeth Lemocks and a number of nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank the staff of Crater Community Hospice, “our angels on earth” for their love and support.
Funeral services and interment are private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Stony Creek Volunteer rescue Squad.
