Lyman S. Little

Lyman S. Little, 80, of Emporia, widower of Ella C. Little, passed away Thursday, January 7, 2016. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Edward Little and two sisters, Bessie Starke and Judy Little. Survivors include two daughters, Linda Paulson and husband, Jim, and Kitty Presson; two sons, Allen Little and wife, Kathie and Dane L. Little and wife, Kellie; 10 grandchildren, Kristina L. Owens and wife, Kaylee, Brad Owens and wife, Erin, Kim Hafey and husband, Brad, Tiffany Reed, Daniel Grizzard and wife, Nicole, Megan Little Jones and husband, Ryan, Austin Paulson and wife, Amber, Steven Paul Little, Lindsey Dane Little and Casey Dawn Little; 10 great-grandchildren; friend and caregiver, Kathy O’Rourke; five sisters, Margaret Howlett, Peggy Peaden, Geraldine Lewis, Kay Smith and Janie Jarman and a number of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday, January 8 at Owen Funeral Home, 303 S. Halifax Rd, Jarratt, Virginia. The funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, January 9 at Forest Hill Baptist Church, 2103 Pine Log Rd, Skippers, Virginia led by Pastor Ron Gallagher. Interment will follow at Greensville Memorial Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, American Heart Association or to Hospice of Virginia
