Elizabeth "Gerald" Kitchen

Elizabeth “Gerald” Kitchen, 74, of Emporia, widow of Herman “Pee Wee” Kitchen, Sr., passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2015. She is survived by three sons, Herman Kitchen, Jr. and life partner, Kenneth Eanes, Owen Kitchen and wife, Brenda and Calvin Ray “Peanut” Kitchen; daughter, Juanita McKeel; 19 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Margaret Conner, Martha Rawlings, Alice Gordon and Lottie Gordon; two brothers, Harvey Cifers and William Cifers and a number of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Kitchen was preceded in death by three brothers, Floyd Cifers, Ray Cifers and David Cifers. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Nov 5 at Owen Funeral Home, 303 S. Halifax Rd, Jarratt, Virginia where the funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, November 6. Interment will follow at Greensville Memorial Cemetery.
