Margaret C. Lewis

Margaret C. Lewis, 86, of Stony Creek, widow of Claiborne G. Lewis, Sr., passed away Tuesday, September 29, 2015. She is survived by three sons, Claiborne G. Lewis, Jr. and wife, Carol; David Lewis and Donnie Lewis; four grandchildren, Randy Lewis and wife, Renea, Shelley Lewis (Jeff Campbell), Amanda Lipiscomb and husband, Ron and Brent Lewis and wife, Angela; great-granddaughter, Rachel Lewis and great-grandson, Hunter Lipscomb; one brother, Jack Cox and wife, Emily and a number of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Lewis was a charter member of Stony Creek Volunteer Rescue Squad and also for over fifty years a member of the Stony Creek Chapter #126 Order of Eastern Star. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday, October 1 at Owen Funeral Home, 303 S. Halifax Rd. Jarratt, Virginia 23867. The funeral service will be held graveside 11 a.m. Friday, Oct 2 at Readville Baptist Church Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Readville Baptist Church.
