Catherine Jarratt Dunn

Catherine J. Dunn, 83, of Stony Creek, widow of M.W. “Woody” Dunn, passed away Tuesday, July 28, 2015. She is survived by a son, Woody Dunn, Jr. and wife, Debbie; daughter, Connie Johnson and husband, Richard; four grandchildren, Marshall Dunn and wife, Holly, Ryan Dunn, Brittany Johnson and Tabitha Johnson; two sisters, Audrey Carlton and husband, Stuart and Alma Whitt; two brothers, Edward Jarratt and wife, Peggy and Floyd Jarratt and wife, Lillian; two sisters-in-law, Shirley Jarratt and Christine Jarratt and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Clifton Jarratt and Earl Jarratt and a sister, Virginia Hall. The funeral service will be held 3 p.m. Saturday, August 1 at Sharon United Methodist Church, 18133 Comans Well Rd, Yale, Virginia 23897 with interment to follow at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Sharon United Methodist Church fellowship hall after the committal service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Sharon United Methodist Church, c/o Bess Richardson, 73 James St, Dendron, VA 23839.
