Jo Ann B. Frye

Jo Ann B. Frye, 79, of Stony Creek, passed away Sunday, July 26, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband of 28 years, Hubert F. Frye and three sisters, Peggy, Jean and Sue. She is survived by a son, Michael E. Pond and wife, Karen of Waverly; two daughters, Lynne Pond and Sandy Pond, both of Stony Creek; stepdaughter, Beth Hopson of Emporia; grandson, Christopher M. Pond and wife, Brandy and great-grandson, Ian Pond, all of Waverly and a number of nieces and nephews; special friends, Clarence Sonny Carwile and Mary Francis Burton and three beloved pets, Smokey, Petey and Butterbean. Mrs. Frye was retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 24 years service. A graveside funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, July 30 at Waverly Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, the SPCA or to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
