Willard Earl Upton

Willard Earl Upton, 63, of Sussex, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 27, 2014. He was preceded in death by his son, Willard Earl “Willie” Upton, Jr. and his mother, Ruby C. Upton. Survivors include daughters, Wendy Upton Futrell and husband, Keith, Debbie Upton Grein and husband, Matt, Kristie Lynn Upton and Jessica Danielle Chouen; grandchildren, Eric Lee Jenkins, Haleigh Elizabeth Duncan, Jacob Mathew Grein, Brianna Marie Grein, Brayden Nathaniel Upton, Berkley Derringer Futrell and Tannar Vermillion; his father, Donal T. Upton; brother, Donal Upton, Jr. and wife, Adele; sisters, Joyce Jones an husband, Howard, Betty Carr and husband, Pete, Teresa Tripp and husband, Riley, Judy Monahan and husband, Tim and Lisa Whitmore and husband, Greg. He also is survived by his special friend, Liz DeBord and a number of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct 29 at Owen Funeral Home, 303 S. Halifax Rd, Jarratt, Virginia 23867 where the funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct 30. Interment will follow at Winfield Family Cemetery.
