George Robert "Bill" Ashby

George Robert Ashby Jr. known as “Bill” celebrated his 78th birthday with his family on December 22nd, 2013. He was surrounded by his wife, children, grandchildren when he passed on December 23, 2013. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, the love of his life, Jonnie Seegers Ashby, his daughter Bonita Ashby Bertovich, son-in-law Mark, their two children, Eric and Brianna, his son, Lloyd Stancell Ashby and his two girls Nicole and Michelle. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Hospice of Virginia for their support in his final days. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, December 26 at Owen Funeral Home, 303 S. Halifax Rd, Jarratt, Virginia where the family will receive friends beginning at 12:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Virginia 300 Bayberry Court Suite 300 Richmond, VA. 23226.
