Ruth Grizzard Zimmerman

Ruth Grizzard Zimmerman, 81, of Yale, widow of John M. Zimmerman, III passed away Tuesday, December 17, 2013. She is survived by her children, Nancy Z. Adams, John Zimmerman, IV and Becky Z. Barnes; six grandchildren, Lisa Evans, John Barnes, Holly Barnes, Crystal Barnes, Ariel Elmore and James Zimmerman; six great-grandchildren, Ryan Evans, Lexie Evans, Spencer Elmore, Grayson Brockwell, Gavin Barnes and Adelle Barnes; a sister, Lois G. Crafton; two brothers, Burton E. Grizzard and George A. Grizzard; a number of nieces and nephews; devoted caregivers, Judy Parsons and Nirasha Shanko; and her beloved canine companions, “Sweetheart” and “Precious”.
