Elsie C. Walton

Elsie C. Walton, 82, of Drewryville, widow of John S. “Shell” Walton, passed away Thursday, August 15, 2013. She is survived by three sons, John S. Walton, Jr. and wife, Susan of Sedley, Steve Walton and wife, Mary Kim and Allen Walton, all of Drewryville and special friend, Carla Lilley, of Sussex; five grandchildren, Adam Whitehead and wife, Stephanie, Julie Baybutt and husband, Daniel, Shelton Walton and fiancee’ Rebecca Holton; Erin Walton and Ryan Walton; two great-grandchildren, Brayden and Madelyn; three sisters, Phyllis Martin, Barbara Clary and Audrey Yaeger and husband, Clay; two brothers, Smithy Clary and wife, Elsie and Teeny Clary and a number of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Walton was preceded in death by two brothers, Randy Clary and Gene Clary. The family will receive friends 6-7:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug 17 at Owen Funeral Home, 303 S. Halifax Rd, Jarratt, Virginia 23867. The funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, August 18 at Drewryville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to The American Cancer Society.
