Ruby Dunn Williams

Ruby G. Williams, 92, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 30, 2013. She was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Charles Edward Williams. She leaves to cherish her memory, Her best friend and devoted brother, William Horace Dunn. She also is survived by many loving nieces and nephews, Howard Dunn, Jr. and wife, Pat, Earl Dunn and wife, Joyce, Billy Dunn and wife, Donna, James Drewry and wife, Martha, Charles Dunn and wife, Janet. Nieces, Page Dunn Withers and husband, Bob, Nettie Lou Dunn Kitchen and husband, Charles, Kay Dunn Bryant and husband, Edward, Betty Jean Dunn Callahan and Elsie Gilliam Heskett. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Mrs. Williams spent the last years of her life at the Bloom Center and the family wishes to thank each and every one of the staff that took care of her during her stay there. She was a very spiritual person and was ready to make the transition to her new home. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. The funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, June 2 at Owen Funeral Home, 303 S. Halifax Rd., Jarratt, Virginia. Interment will follow at Greensville Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Calvary Baptist Church Building Fund, 310 N. Main St., Emporia, VA 23847.
