Elizabeth Ellison "Liz' Ridout

Elizabeth Ellison “Liz” Ridout, 83, of Jarratt, widow of Willis McCoin Ridout passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2013. She is survived by three sons, Bobby Ridout and wife, Diane of Chester, Craig Ridout of Dinwiddie and Ray Ridout and wife, Betty of Jarratt; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Marie Cook of Dinwiddie; two brothers, Charles Ellison and wife, June of Chesterfield and Sam Ellison and wife, Charlotte of Prince George; a sister-in-law, Joyce Ellison of Colonial Heights and brother-in-law, Glen Ridout of Matoaca. Mrs. Ridout was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Ellison. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday, April 5 at Owen Funeral Home, 303 S. Halifax Rd, Jarratt, Virginia where the funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, April 6. Interment will follow at High Hills Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to High Hills Baptist Church, P.O. Box 296, Jarratt, Virginia 23867.
