Phyllis Beville

Phyllis Edwards Beville, 76, of Stony Creek, widow of Robert Lee Beville, died Wednesday, August 1, 2012. She is survived by her son, Robert L. Beville, Jr. (Fat Cat) and wife, Tracy; her daughter, Cindy Moss; three grandchildren, Courtney B. Bolton and husband, Jonathan, Robert Adam Beville, Candice Bowe and husband, Jamie; three great-grandchildren; a brother, Carl “Buck” Edwards, Jr. and wife, Allene and two sisters, Shelvia Harrell and husband, Richard and Barbara E. Story. Phyllis was preceded in death by a brother, Sydney Ray “Speck” Edwards and her longtime companion, Henry Mason “Bootley” Pennington, Jr. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at Owen Funeral Home, 303 S. Halifax Rd, Jarratt, Virginia where the funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, August 4, 2012. Interment will follow at High Hills Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Fort Grove United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 145, Stony Creek, VA 23882.
